We’re receiving multiple reports from our clients regarding a very realistic looking scam email that is currently doing the rounds.
With the subject “Urgent: Vulnerability detected – Your website […] is at risk!”, the email encourages the site owner to download, install and activate a WordPress plugin.
Under no circumstances should you do this! Installing this plugin WILL place malware on your WordPress website!
