My Page / Post Edit Window has Changed

In WordPress 5.0, the default editor changed from the Classic WordPress Editor to the Gutenberg Block Editor.

We like Gutenberg but it can take a bit of time to get used to, and who has time on their hands?

Install the Classic Editor Plugin

Whilst you are waiting to find the spare time to learn the Gutenberg editor you can install the Classic Editor plugin available from the WordPress repository.
  1. Navigate to Plugins
  2. Select 'Add New
  3. Search 'Classic Editor
  4. Click 'Install'
  5. Click 'Activate'
Super-easy and your old Editor is back until you're ready to learn Gutenberg. Don't wait too long though, the Classic Editor is only guaranteed to be supported until 2022
